Speed Explosion Training for Athletes

Speed development is essential for almost all sports.  Most ground-based sports involve acceleration and deceleration on the horizontal plane. With the vast majority of our competitive movement on the horizontal plane, training on that horizontal plane with resistance at sports specific movements and speeds is important. Speed training on the horizontal plane can be more relevant and effective towards improving athletic performance than pushing weights up and down on the vertical planes.
